Green Gaels win gold in Prague!
The 2007 Green Gael Travel Team went to Prague, Czech Republic to play in the 14th Annual Alex Hrebesky Memorial Cup Box Lacrosse Tournament from April 19th - 22nd. The Alex Hrebesky Cup is the most prestigious box lacrosse tournament in Europe and the Green Gaels Travel Team are the first Canadian team to participate.After posting round-robin wins of 15-2 over LC Plzeò, 13-1 over the Dublin Rigger & 12-4 over the Boston Megamen, the team beat LC Jižní Mìsto 7-3 in the semi-final and won the Cup with a 8-1 win over TJ Malešice.
While enjoying their stay in the Czech Republic, the Gaels also defeated the Czech National Box team 12-4 on April 25th as a tune-up for the upcoming World Indoor Lacrosse Championships.
